No Vaccine Nicki Minaj Can't Attend 2021 Met Gala

JAKARTA - The biggest fashion event, the 2021 Met Gala will be held on Monday, September 13, United States time. There is something different in this year's show. Rapper Nicki Minaj doesn't appear to be a guest at the Met Gala even though she is one of the guests who come every year.

Responding to fan concerns, Nicki Minaj tweeted the same day. He said he could not meet the requirements, namely that he had been vaccinated so he did not attend the Met Gala.

“They want you to get a vaccine for the Met. If I get vaccinated, it's not for the Met. I will (vaccine) if I have done enough research," said the Anaconda singer.

Meanwhile, he also reminded fans to always wear masks. "For that, stay alert. Wear a mask with two straps that cover the face and face. Not a loose one."

Minaj also confirmed that she had contracted COVID and this was related to the safety of the vaccine she received.

“My cousin in Trinidad doesn't want the vaccine because her friend can and does become impotent. His friend was only a few weeks away from the wedding and now his partner has canceled the plans.”

"So pray and make sure you are comfortable with your choice and not being bullied," he continued.

Nicki Minaj's statement on Twitter reaped the pros and cons. Many respect his decision but on the other hand not a few who criticize the announcement.

Minaj also explained that she is not anti-vaccine but she is choosing what vaccine is suitable for her.

Previously, Nicki Minaj also canceled her appearance at the 2021 MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday, September 12. This event also requires the same conditions as the 2021 Met Gala.
