Healthy Financial Condition, La Liga Allows Real Madrid To Sign Haaland And Mbappe Next Year

JAKARTA - Spanish La Liga president Javier Tebas said giant club Real Madrid had the opportunity to sign Erling Haaland and Kylian Mbappe in 2022.

Quoted by Antara from Football Espana, Tuesday, September 14, Tebas explained that Real Madrid's financial condition was healthy and allowed this to happen.

The 59-year-old added that Madrid currently have the funds to bring in Haaland and Mbappe at the same time.

"They have sold players for more than 200 million euros (around Rp. 3.36 trillion). They have money in the bank to bring in Mbappe and Haaland together," said Tebas.

"They haven't lost any money at all and on top of that, they've sold their assets."

The Costa Rican-born man continued that he was surprised by Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) who could refuse Real Madrid's offer for Mbappe after losing 400 million euros and having spending on player salaries of 500 million euros.

According to him, this is a failure of the control rules in France that hurt the European market.

"What is incomprehensible is a club that loses 400 million euros (approximately IDR 6.7 trillion), has a salary expenditure of 500 million euros (about IDR 8.4 trillion) and can refuse an offer like the one offered for Mbappe.

"This is a failure in controlling French rules, which have now hurt European markets," Tebas said.

In the transfer market last summer, Real Madrid reportedly made an active move to bring in Kylian Mbappe from Paris Saint-Germain.

However, in the end PSG rejected an offer from Real Madrid for Mbappe which was believed to be 200 million euros or around Rp. 3.3 trillion.

Besides Mbappe, Real Madrid are also reportedly interested in signing the Borussia Dortmund striker who has a release clause of 75 million euros or around IDR 1.2 trillion.
