Persib Striker Still Barren, Robert Alberts: That's Normal, There Are Still 10 Players Who Can Score Goals

JAKARTA - Persib Bandung coach Robert Alberts admitted that he was not worried about the condition of his attacker who had not managed to score in two Liga 1 matches.

Quoted by Antara from the club's official website, Monday, Robert thinks it is not a problem if the attacker has not managed to score a goal because this is normal in football.

"It doesn't matter our strikers still haven't scored. That's normal in football. There are still ten players who can score goals," said Robert.

The Dutch coach also said anyone, from any position, has a chance to score in a match.

According to him, even though the attackers struggle to score goals because many opposing defenders are focused on them, this will pave the way for other players to score goals.

"If the strategy goes well, anyone can score goals, and this will make it difficult for the opponent. Depending on 1-2 players it will be easy to fight," said Robert.

In Liga 1 this season, Persib recorded a 1-0 win over Barito Putera and 2-1 against Persita Tangerang, which then makes them currently ranked second in the standings.

Although they managed to wipe out the first two games in Liga 1 2021/2022, in fact all of Persib's goals were scored by their midfielders, namely Marc Klok (one goal against Barito Putera) and Mohammed Rashid (two goals against Persita).
