Makassar Police Arrest Perpetrators Of Kidnapping In Exchange For Rice

MAKASSAR - The Makassar Police, South Sulawesi team arrested the perpetrator of the kidnapping of a child with the initials SU (27). The perpetrator left the child in a shop or shop and then exchanged it for rice.

"Alhamdulillah, we have arrested the perpetrators of this SU. The results of investigations from the Rappocini Police, Makassar Police, Jatanras, and South Sulawesi Regional Police Resmob, finally managed to track down the whereabouts of the perpetrator's vehicle, which was known to be a driver, and an arrest was made at his home, Villa Mutiara Complex, Biringkanaya District, on Saturday, September 11.

From the interrogation of the perpetrators, the proceeds from taking rice at the stall were then partially consumed and sold to buy vouchers to play online games.

For the evidence, one piece of red long-sleeved shirt (recorded by CCTV) and a motorcycle with the police number DD 6730 SO were secured.

The arrest of the suspect, said Jamal, was in accordance with two police reports, which were reported to the Makassar Police and Rappocini. At the Makassar Police, it was related to the kidnapping and at the Rappocini Police it was related to fraud and embezzlement.

The perpetrator is accused of Article 83 Subsidiary Article 76 F of Law number 35 of 2014 concerning Child Protection, Jo Article 330 paragraph 1 and paragraph 2 of the Criminal Code with a threat of 15 years in prison.

Commissioner Jamal explained, the perpetrators carried out the action several times. However, it was only revealed after being reported by the MAR family, a 10-year-old boy who was brought by the perpetrator from his home on Jalan Maccini Gusung, Makassar District, to Jalan Pelita Raya, Rappocini District.

The perpetrator then entrusted the victim MAR to one of the stalls on Jalan Pelita Rata, then took three bags of rice weighing 35 kilograms and reasoned that he did not bring his wallet and was in a hurry, then left the victim as collateral under the pretext that he was his sister.

The victim was playing near his house, then the perpetrator lured the victim Rp. The victim was then taken around by the perpetrator until he arrived at his target location where he took the rice, then put the victim there.
