Still Low, Vaccinations In Cirebon Are Only 26 Percent Of The 1.7 Million Targets
CIREBON - The Cirebon District Health Office, West Java, noted that the achievement of COVID-19 vaccination in the area is still low and has only reached 26 percent of the target.
"Our vaccination achievement is only 26 percent, or only 479 thousand people out of 1.7 million targets," said Head of the Cirebon District Health Office, Eni Suhaeni, in Cirebon, as reported by Antara, Monday, September 13.
Eni said that the vaccination target in Cirebon Regency reached 1,782,964 people and currently the vaccination target is only 479 thousand people or 26 percent.
According to him, the distribution and availability of vaccines is one of the factors for the low vaccination rate in Cirebon Regency. This hinders the implementation of vaccination.
"Now it has started smoothly and next week we will receive the vaccine as well," he said. Eni added that the implementation of vaccination in Cirebon Regency was helped by the mass vaccination movement carried out by the TNI-Polri.
He continued that every time he carried out mass vaccinations, both school children and the general public were very enthusiastic.
"So there are those who don't get it, even from the morning they have been queuing for fear of not getting the vaccine," he said.
Eni said the Cirebon Regency Government targets the vaccination to be completed by the end of this year, so that in a day, vaccination in Cirebon must reach 30 thousand people.
"But currently our vaccination achievement is only 3,000 to 4,000 per day, but the province will distribute many vaccines this September, hopefully the target can be met," he said.
