PADANG - West Sumatra Governor Mahyeldi inspects the Kelok Sembilan road in Limapuluh Kota. This is done because the Kelok Sembilan bridge will be arranged.

Mahyeldi promised to accommodate all the aspirations of traders who will be relocated, so that no party is harmed.

"The arrangement of Kelok Sembilan is carried out because there is a provision that no vehicles should stop along the bridge. We will relocate traders at that location to a comfortable resting area that we are preparing," said West Sumatra Governor Mahyeldi on the sidelines of a review of the Kelok Sembilan road in Fifty Cities, reported by Antara, Monday.

He said the Kelok Sembilan Bridge is a state asset that has become one of the tourist destinations in Fifty Cities. Maintaining its use and beauty is the joint responsibility of the government and the community," he said.

Mahyeldi welcomed and thanked the traders in Kelok Sembilan who were willing to move to the location of the rest area that was prepared so that the arrangement and management of these assets could be accelerated.

"We will maximize the construction of the rest area as soon as possible with adequate facilities so that visitors and traders can feel comfortable," he said.

The rest area will later be managed together with the government, nagari and the community so that its utilization can also be maximized to support the local community's economy. .

The head of the Limapuluh Kota Tourism Office, Ningsih, said that in the rest area, a large and representative parking lot will be built for visitors.

In addition, a place for selling and a place of worship was also built. The location is three kilometers from Kelok Sembilan.

"Later, there will be an activity for managing the nine-turn tourist transportation which can be managed by the local community," he said.

Previously on the Kelok Sembilan bridge, there were many street vendors who held their wares, so that it provoked motorists to stop to rest while taking selfies.

Whereas on the bridge it is not permissible for vehicles to stop and park because it is feared that it could interfere with the construction of the bridge.
