The trial of the persecution case took place at the Tangerang District Court, Banten today, Monday, September 13. Asked about accepting or appealing the judge's decision, Fajar Umbara's attorney, Boy Sulimas, said he was still thinking about it.
"Let's think about discussing it with Fajar first. Because Fajar's side have always believed that it wasn't Fajar. That the incident happened on that date. If it was spontaneity, it's not clear whether it hit the right or left cheek, because it happened so fast. ," he said.
"Let's think about it first, we have 7 days to give it, we try to consult with Mas Fajar first, then we will take the next step, whether to appeal or not," continued Boy Sulimas.
The verdict that Fajar Umbara received was lighter than the demands of the Public Prosecutor (JPU). Previously, Yuyun Sukawati's ex-husband was sentenced to 4.5 years in prison.
"Frankly, I am very disappointed, yes, if my Prosecutor's demands were 4 years and 3 months, it would decrease by a third, it could be three years. But there, the Judge decided 2 years. to the Honorable Judge? Because my child has a psychic problem?" said Yuyun while holding back tears.
"Why did the doctor witness, we asked to be presented, but he wasn't presented? Please, this is about minors. Fajar Umbara has admitted. Don't make up stories about the injury, it already exists. The plea has been rejected. Why wasn't my child's mental illness read out in court? ' Yuyun asked.
