COVID-19 Update As Of September 13: New Cases 2,577, Active Cases Already Below 100 Thousand

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) released the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 as of today. A total of 177,234 specimens were examined with the result that there were 2,577 new positive cases of COVID-19.

"The total accumulation of positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia has reached 4,170,088 people and active cases are 99,696 cases," said Ministry of Health data, Monday, September 13.

Today's recovered cases increased by 12,474 cases, bringing the total to 3,931,227 recovered people. Then, positive confirmed cases who died increased by 276 people and a total of 139,165 people.

The province with the most new cases was in Central Java with 353 cases and a total of 477,556 cases. Followed by East Java which has 318 new cases with a total of 390,964 cases. West Java has 210 new cases and a total of 698,867 cases. Then, DKI Jakarta has 187 new cases and a total of 854,929 cases.

The province with the most recovered cases today belongs to Papua with an additional 2,914 recovered cases. Followed by Central Java with an increase of 2.26 recovered cases, West Java with an additional 705 recovered cases, and East Java with an additional 682 recovered cases.

No province has reported no new cases as of today. In addition, the number of specimens that have been examined using RT-PCR, TCM, and antigens has reached 34,926,151.

"Positive results per number of people examined or the positivity rate of people this week was 4.23 percent," he wrote.

The number of people suspected of contracting COVID-19 or who are currently categorized as suspected cases, was recorded at 286,170 people. Currently, 34 provinces have had cases of COVID-19.

To date, 73,310,563 people have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination and 42,104,839 people have received the second dose of vaccination.

While the third dose of vaccination was 784,374 people. Meanwhile, the target for vaccination in Indonesia is 208,265,720 people.
