Helicopter Rolled In Tangerang, Ministry Of Transportation Says No Casualties

JAKARTA - A helicopter is suspected of having an accident in the Tangerang area this morning. The spokesperson for the Ministry of Transportation, Adita Irawati, admitted that she had received the information. She said that the helicopter belonged to the Bell 429 PK-CAW type Flight Facility Calibration Center.

"We have received information. The helicopter rolled over at the end of the runway at Budiarto Airport, Curug, Tangerang," she told reporters, Monday, September 13.

Based on the information obtained by his party, Adita said, the incident occurred at around 10.25 local time. Adita said at that time the helicopter was carrying out routine training activities.

Furthermore, Adita said there were no casualties in this incident. "The flight crew consisting of the pilot, co-pilot, and technician is safe," he said.

Currently, said Adita, the crew is undergoing a medical examination. The Flight Inspector of the Soekarno Hatta Region I Airport Authority Office and investigators from the National Transportation Safety Committee have arrived at the scene to conduct an initial investigation.

"Currently, the Flight Inspector of the Airport Authority Office, Wil I Soetta, and KNKT investigators are at the scene for initial investigations," she said.
