Police Investigate Fuso Truck Sinking In Banjarmasin Trisakti Harbor, Two People Are Missing
BANJARMASIN - The Criminal Investigation Unit of the Seaports Regional Police (KPL) of the Banjarmasin Police is investigating the case of a fuso truck that fell into the Barito River, precisely at the Trisakti Port Pier, Banjarmasin.
"The passengers in the fuso truck are currently being searched by a joint emergency team with the Banjarmasin Police Satpolairud," said KPL Sector Head of Banjarmasin Police AKP Aryansyah as quoted by Antara, Sunday, September 12.
According to him, there were seven passengers who were declared safe and two other passengers were still being searched on behalf of Adi Mustofa and Sadir.
The names of other passengers are known to Suparman (driver), Sarmi (42), Sumiran (40), Nanang (35), Herminto suffered a broken leg due to the incident and Hariyono and Fredy Adi Sasongko.
Furthermore, for the incident, the fuso truck with the license plate number S 8795 UX plunged into the Barito River on Saturday, September 11, at around 21.00 WITA.
The Fuso truck incident fell into the Barito River, precisely at pier 100 in front of the passenger embarkation at Trisakti Port, Banjarmasin. The truck will board the Kirana Ship which at that time was docked at the port of pier 400.
"Currently, the driver who survived the incident is being investigated and after we have a new case, we can confirm the status of the driver in this incident," said the first officer of the National Police.
For information, the emergency team together with Basarnas, the Navy and the Banjarmasin Police Satpoairud continue to search for the two missing passengers and have not been found so far.
