Message From The Secretary General Of Gerindra, Cadres Must Be Guardians Of The Pancasila Ideology

JAKARTA - Secretary General of the Gerindra Party DPP Ahmad Muzani asked all party cadres to become the glue of unity and safeguard the Pancasila ideology.

"Each party has a different role and political interest, but that does not cause Indonesia's unity and integrity to weaken. So the task of every Gerindra Party cadre is to become the glue of unity and maintain the state ideology, namely Pancasila," Muzani said in a statement in Jakarta, quoted by the Jakarta Post. Between, Sunday, September 12.

This was said by Muzani while attending the DPD Coordination Meeting of the Gerindra Party of Riau Islands Province in Batam City, Saturday, September 11.

According to him, the Riau Archipelago is one of the outermost regions of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia (NKRI), therefore political differences should not create space for division among the people.

This, according to him, is because the Riau Islands region is directly adjacent to neighboring countries, such as Malaysia and Singapore.

"This is what is meant by living as a nation and a state, there are times when we are different, separated, and at odds, but not forever and we will return to the same lap called the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia," he said. The Deputy Chairman of the People's Consultative Assembly of the Republic of Indonesia emphasized that Indonesia as a country will continue to be strong if the people share their respective duties and roles.

According to him, the Gerindra cadre's task, which was instructed and expected by Gerindra Party chairman Prabowo Subianto, was to become a "warrior" and guard the NKRI, especially Riau Islands and Batam to become one of the outer islands.

"We must guard our territory, we must guard our borders, guard our ideology, and protect the health of our people. The task of Gerindra cadres is to maintain the integrity of the Unitary Republic of Indonesia," he said.

Moreover, according to Muzani, the COVID-19 pandemic has had a negative impact on the community because almost all aspects of life, such as social, economic, political, and health are experiencing a crisis at the same time.

Therefore, he considered the task of leaders and political party figures to work hand in hand as an effort to restore the economy in Indonesia.

"Leaders and leaders of political parties must work hand in hand, COVID-19 matters are not only the affairs of the government, the president, governors and deputy governors, regents and mayors. The handling of COVID-19 is the responsibility of all of us," he said.

In the event, Muzani was accompanied by the Chairperson of the Riau Islands Gerindra Party DPD Iman Sutiawan, Batam Mayor Muhammad Rudi and Riau Islands Deputy Governor Marlin Agustina. In addition, a number of members of the Gerindra Party DPP were also present, such as Prasetyo Hadi, Danang Wicaksana, and Setyoko.
