Residents Don't Have Bank Accounts Now Can Do Digital Transactions Through Pospay From Pos Indonesia

JAKARTA - For small traders and people who do not have a bank account or are unbanked, PT Pos Indonesia (Persero) has prepared the Pospay digital service. This service really helps them to do banking transactions.

“Pospay is very appropriate to be a means of digital financial inclusion. Pospay helps small traders and people who do not have bank accounts to carry out transactions such as banking," said Pos Indonesia (Persero) President Director Faizal Rochmad Djoemadi in a written statement received in Jakarta, Saturday, September 11.

Pospay, according to Faizal, also opens up opportunities for customers to establish an independent post office business unit in the form of Pospay Agent. The Pospay service even reaches the needs of Indonesian migrant workers for financial transactions from abroad for transaction needs within the country.

He said that there were many digital financial services that Pospay users could enjoy. Starting from payment transaction services for various bills, Q-RIS transactions, transfer of postal checking account funds to various bank accounts up to IDR 50 million per day.

In addition, send money orders to recipients who do not have bank accounts, unlimited balances, sharia services including zakat, infaq, shodaqoh, waqf and qurban. This is still added, there are no monthly administration fees or interest on deposits. There are even tax payments as a form of support for Indonesia's development.

Pos Indonesia also introduced a new platform for Courier and Financial Services digital services. Among them are the digital services PosAja!, Pospay and Pos Migran Indonesia, to the Minister of SOEs Erick Thohir, during a working visit to the Bogor Post Office, Jl. Juanda no 5 Bogor, on Saturday, September 11th.

On this occasion, Faizal submitted a report related to various digital services that have been developed by Pos Indonesia. Faizal explained that a number of digital services are a form of PT Pos Indonesia's commitment to provide excellent service to the community.

This is in accordance with the demands and developments of technology and finance today. Faizal also explained about the features of the PosAja application! Pospay and the use of the Pospay application by Indonesian Migrant Workers in Taiwan.

For information, various digital courier services and financial services have been launched previously. The launch of "Pos Migran Indonesia" was held on Tuesday, April 5, 2021. Meanwhile, the launch of a number of digital services such as PosAja! and Pospay was held on August 26 to coincide with the 275th anniversary of Pos Indonesia.

On that occasion, the Minister of SOEs, Erick Thohir, also had a chance to talk with the Oranger, the postal officer of the partnership for courier services. In addition, a simulation of sending funds from an Indonesian migrant worker in Taiwan to his family using POSPAY was also carried out, as well as sending 1,000 packages of vitamins and PPE to health workers at the Puskesmas through the PosAja application.

At the end of the event, Erick Thohir symbolically handed over Cash Social Assistance to a number of Beneficiary Families (KPM) and a QRIS demo at the UMKM booth.
