Release Gives Meaning To Indonesia Rice Reborn Invites Choir Mahadewi To Reunion

JAKARTA - The music group Padi Reborn on Friday launched a new single entitled "Memberi Meaning Indonesia" by cooperating with a number of voice actors or choirs for adults and children. The adult chorus is the same chorus as the song "Mahadewi" (1999).

Meanwhile, the children's choir is filled with sons and daughters of Padi Rebon personnel, namely Andi Fathimah Siti Batari or Mima who is the daughter of vocalist Fadly and Rizky Langit Ramadhan, the only son of drummer Yoyo.

Guitarist Satriyo Yudi Wahono or familiarly called Piyu said the collaboration was carried out because the personnel wanted to give a touch of collective spirit and involve voices of various ages according to the tagline, theme, and title of the song "Memberi Meaning Indonesia".

“The spirit or spirit is definitely synonymous with the collective and many people. When we implemented this into a song, we finally felt that this should be made even more anthem, made even more enthusiastic. We hope that this song can be sung together, so we need a choir here," said Piyu during a virtual press conference on Friday.

Piyu said the decision to choose an adult choir who had performed the song "Mahadewi" was an unintentional process through a reunion meeting.

Meanwhile, the selection of children's voice actors, said vocalist Fadly, is part of trial and error. After agreeing to choose an adult chorus, the personnel also wanted to include children's voices in the song.

“At that time we had two students, Ms. Lusi, one of the adult choir performers. But we think it needs to be added. Finally Yoyo called Rizki, his son. I called Mima," said Fadly.

He said there is no special vocal technique for children's voice actors. The personnel wanted the voices produced by the children to be as pure and natural as possible so that they could represent the voices of their generation.

"About involving our children, actually it can also be a lesson too, yes, while looking at the work of their fathers and training their courage to be able to contribute their voices," said Yoyo.

To complete this song, Padi Reborn also released a lyric video involving Padi friends from Sabang to Merauke. In the visual display, the Paddy Friends show a song lyric message with a background of landmarks from their respective hometowns.

“There are several options regarding the idea of making a lyric video, such as in Bandung, but I'm a bit confused because it's PPKM, right. Finally, there is an idea, how about inviting Buddy Padi. We immediately agreed because we haven't seen them for a long time,” said guitarist Ari.
