WhatsApp Indonesia Users Officially Arrival View Once
JAKARTA - The WhatsApp messaging service has just officially introduced the View Once feature as part of the second half of the “Message Privately” Campaign.
The campaign previously highlighted end-to-end encryption (E2EE) and is now focusing on the View Once feature to add another layer of privacy for users to send messages.
The View Once feature has actually been launched in Indonesia since September 2. This feature allows the photo or video sent can only be seen once by the recipient. This feature is suitable for sending confidential messages such as documents or other files.
According to WhatsApp, they want to show their two billion users worldwide that their private conversations are always private.
"Visual communication has become a big part of how people communicate on WhatsApp because they share billions of photos and videos every day. However, we know that some photos and videos don't need to be stored forever," said WhatsApp Brand and Consumer Marketing Director Eshan Ponnadurai in an official statement. , Saturday, November 11th.
Eshan stated that the second half of the 'Message Privately' campaign focuses on feature innovations and additional layers of privacy available directly within WhatsApp.
"So it adds a sense of security when we share moments with those closest to us and we trust," added Eshan.
For users who want to use the View Once feature, they only need to click on the number one icon next to the send button after selecting the photo or video they want to send. Once the icon is activated, the sent photo or video can only be viewed once by the recipient.
For information, apart from Indonesia, the View Once feature campaign has also been launched simultaneously in the UK, Germany, France, and Mexico, through various online video platforms, digital, (D)OOH, audio, Facebook, and Instagram.
