Odd Even, Officers Turn Around 600 Vehicles From The Peak
BOGOR - Joint officers from elements of the TNI/Polri, Dishub, and Satpol PP turned around 600 vehicles from access to the Puncak area. Meanwhile, there is no traffic congestion due to the decrease in the number of passing motorists.
Secretary of the Bogor Regency Satpol PP Iman Wahyu Budiana said heavy rains affected the number of motorists so there was no congestion as in the previous two weekends. Currently, many people are also aware of the odd-even application in Puncak.
Iman said that on Friday, September 10, for about seven hours starting at 10:00 WIB, officers turned 447 vehicles at the Ciawi toll gate for odd-numbered vehicles. Meanwhile at Simpang Gadog there are around 150 vehicles, so a total of about 600 odd-numbered vehicles are not allowed to enter the Puncak area.
The police together with joint officers also made 14 blocking locations for every vehicle that wants to enter or cross the Puncak area. Only vehicles with license plates that match the calendar date, are permitted.
Iman said that the density of vehicle traffic had decreased compared to the last two weekends.
According to him, the decrease in vehicular traffic density to Puncak from Jakarta was due to the second week of socialization that was expanded to become an integrated five cities/regencies in the Bogor Raya agglomeration area, which attracted public attention.
"Last week it was higher because there were still people who didn't know, only the odd-even socialization," he said.
