Kemenkominfo Facilitates Media Covering XX Papua PON, Here Are The Details
JAKARTA - The Indonesian Ministry of Communication and Information (Kemenkominfo) fully supports the implementation of the XX Papua National Sports Week (PON) 2021 which will be held on 2-15 October. Among other things, facilitating licensing for broadcasting, providing a media center, and the internet as well as carrying out socialization of the event.
"The Ministry of Communications and Informatics' support, in this case the Director General of IKP, is digital campaigning, media promotion, and cluster-based media center support," said Director General of Information and Public Communication (IKP) of the Ministry of Communications and Informatics, Usman Kansong, in an online press conference, Friday, September 10.
Furthermore, Usman said the Kemenkominfo will hold three media centers for PON XX Papua. First, in Jayapura Regency, located in the ballroom of the Grand Alison Sentani hotel, with a capacity of 100 registered media crews operating from September 20 to October 15.
"Second, in Mimika Regency, which is located in the ballroom of the Grand Mozard Hotel, Timika, with a capacity of 50 registered media crews, operational from September 20 to October 15, 2021," he said.
Then, thirdly, for Merauke district, it is located in the Merauke library building, with a capacity of 50 registered media crews operating from September 26 to October 15.
"Journalists who cover the location can use the media center for various activities, cover script writing or send it to their respective head offices," explained Usman.
Meanwhile, for the media in Jakarta or areas that do not cover the location, added Usman, the Ministry of Communication and Information provides content to be quoted on infopublik.co.id. The Ministry of Communication and Information will also provide a PON XX Papua microsite.
"So if the media for one thing does not send reporters there, they can take news from the microsite at infopublik.co.id. We will provide it in text and video form. The source is from the Ministry of Communication and Informatics reporting team," he concluded.
