Booster Vaccine For Lip Service Government Evidence Officials, Should Have The Guts To Apply Legal Sanctions!

JAKARTA - The LaporCovid-19 Coalition received a report that there was a third dose of vaccination or booster for the families of officials and officials in Jakarta regional offices. In fact, currently the new booster vaccination is devoted to health workers.

The news of this vaccination irregularity reappeared into questions. This is because government officials, from the Ministry of Health to the COVID-19 Task Force, have asked all parties not to take the right to booster vaccination.

The call was made after news broke that a number of officials admitted to receiving booster injections.

A public policy observer from Trisakti University, Trubus Rahadiansyah, considers the government's "screams" for officials not to carry out booster vaccinations as mere lip service. It's just talk without any firm action.

"The findings of booster vaccination among officials are counterproductive to government policies. Seeing cases of irregularities that have been carried out repeatedly proves that the government is just lip service," Trubus told VOI, Friday, September 10.

According to Trubus, the government must take concrete actions to prevent the occurrence of booster vaccinations outside of health workers. Legal sanctions must be applied to these violators.

"If there are findings like this, law enforcement should be given. There is law enforcement and sanctions for those who violate this. The problem is, the government dares not take action? Because the boosters are officials. The problem lies there," he said.

Previously, LaporCovid-19 received reports from residents that there was a third dose (booster) vaccination for the families of elite officials and officers in a private office in Jakarta.

Based on an invitation reported by an anonymous citizen to LaporCovid-19, this COVID-19 booster vaccination uses the Moderna type.

"Today we received a report of a third vaccine booster for the family of officials and officers at a private office in Jakarta, on Jalan Sudirman. Interestingly, the information should not be disseminated to other people," said Co-Initiator of LaporCovid-19 Ahmad Arif on Wednesday, September 8th.

Arif regretted the deviation of the third dose of vaccination for the public other than health workers. This is because the vaccine distribution is not evenly distributed throughout the region.

In fact, he said, many residents in the area and in the village who want to get a vaccine injection. However, vaccine stocks in the area are often empty.

"There is a process of using the third dose of vaccine secretly for the elite. On the other hand, people outside Java, in the regions, have difficulty getting the vaccine," said Arif.
