Sandiaga Optimistic PNM Mekar Cirebon Collaboration Can Create Jobs
JAKARTA - Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno is optimistic that the synergy and collaboration with Mekar Cirebon's Civilian National Capital (PNM) can encourage economic growth and create jobs.
According to Sandiaga, creative economy products (ekraf) in Cirebon have qualities that can be added value through mentoring and marketing.
"We synergize marketing. Because some of the creative economy products here can be global. Like in other places every time I visit PNM Mekar. I have reported it to Erick Thohir. This is extraordinary community empowerment, especially families who are led by mothers," he said when visited and had an audience with the management and customers of PNM Mekar Cirebon, Thursday, 9 September.
Sandiaga explained, this capital service already has 10.7 million customers in Indonesia and is part of the people's economic system in Indonesia.
In the future, synergies will continue to be carried out in terms of access to financing, both from finance, mentoring, and village tourism. He emphasized that the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy will be PNM's partner.
In addition, Sandiaga also asked tourists or guests who come to tourism places to shop for creative economy products at tourism places.
"You have to be a group so you can buy (Rojali), and if you buy, you have to be Rogana (the group is not allowed to offer) because making creative economic products is difficult," he said.
Kemenparekraf, said Sandiaga, has taken the form of moving the creative economy sector by launching the Proudly Made in Indonesia National Movement (BBI), so that production such as Batik and woven as superior products can be raised again.
"This is where we collaborate with PNM, so that customers can blossom into Ulam customers and soon become Ulam customers can create jobs. The good PPKM results are not followed by euphoria that can transmit new cases," he said.
According to Sandiaga, the key to Indonesia's economic revival is to maintain health and health protocols first and then this will be accompanied by economic elections.
"The way for our economy to recover is to be healthy. The healthy way is through vaccinations and health protocols. After two weeks of easing, there is an increase in trade in creative economy products and tourism, although it is not significant. However, this must be accompanied by health protocols," he said.
