COVID-19 Self-Isolating Patients In Jakarta Apparently Can Get Food Assistance, Here's How
JAKARTA - Head of the DKI Social Service, Premi Lasari, said that residents who are self-isolating (isoman) at home because they are confirmed to have COVID-19 can receive food assistance, either in the form of basic necessities or ready-to-eat food.
Premi explained that the budget for the provision of this assistance was in the Social Service Sub-Department of 5 city areas in DKI Jakarta.
"There is a need for food or buffer stock for residents who are self-isolating and their families in one house at the location of the implementation of micro-based PPKM," said Premi in a virtual discussion, Thursday, September 9.
The basic food assistance distributed was 20 kilograms of premium quality rice, 1 box of instant noodles, 7 cans of canned fish, 2 liters of cooking oil, and 1 can of 650 gram biscuits.
The way to get basic food assistance starts from reporting to the local RT and RW by attaching a certificate from the puskesmas that the person concerned is undergoing independent isolation.
After that, the RT-RW will forward the report to the lurah. Then, the lurah will write to the Social Service to pick up basic food packages and distribute them to sufferers of self-isolation.
If the family cannot cook because they are undergoing self-isolation, they can report to the RT-RW to the lurah so that they can receive ready-to-eat food.
"If you can't cook, ladies and gentlemen can report to the lurah that we can't cook because we are suffering from COVID-19. Later it will be assisted with ready-to-eat food, soup kitchens made by the existing social service tribes," explained Premi.
Premi also explained that his party provides food and drink needs for controlled isolation patients in health facilities provided by the DKI Provincial Government.
Details of assistance for positive COVID-19 OTG patients in isolation locations belonging to the provincial government, namely ready-to-eat meals 3 times a day during the isolation period, 2 bottles of 1.5 liter mineral water per day, and 1 box of snacks a day.
