Jokowi's Message To Students Joining Face-to-Face Learning: Wear A Mask, Don't Take It Off
JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo reviewed the implementation of vaccination for students at SMA Negeri 3 Wajo, Wajo Regency, South Sulawesi today. This vaccination is carried out before the students take part in face-to-face learning (PTM).
Jokowi gave a message to students who are preparing to take part in limited PTM during the COVID-19 pandemic. Even though they have been vaccinated, students still have to apply health protocols.
"I hope that the vaccination process will run smoothly and that the children can immediately do face-to-face learning and return to normal," Jokowi said on the Presidential Secretariat's Youtube video, Thursday, September 9.
"But also be careful, health protocols must be strictly maintained, especially wearing a mask. Don't take it off. I wear a mask until it's double. It's important to keep all of us so that we don't transmit and don't get infected by COVID," he continued.
In the review of vaccinations in schools, Jokowi also greeted the vaccination participants through a video conference stating that the vaccination activities in schools in Wajo Regency were running smoothly.
“Today I saw and reviewed the vaccination program held in schools, both high schools, vocational schools, and also in madrasas. I see that everything is going smoothly," Jokowi said.
The former governor of DKI also appreciated the vaccinator team from the UPTD Puskesmas Belawa who carried out door-to-door vaccination activities by boat because the area was affected by flooding.
According to him, the pick-up system for vaccination activities is important so that the services provided are getting better.
“It would be good if it could be carried out door-to-door, the door-to-door vaccination would provide better service. If you can't come to the vaccination site, it's better if you pick up the ball," he said.
For information, as many as 220 high school students received the first dose of Sinovac vaccine during this activity. In addition, vaccination activities for students were also held simultaneously in a number of schools in Wajo Regency.
In addition to SMA Negeri 3 Wajo, Jokowi, accompanied by Iriana Joko Widodo, also reviewed the COVID-19 vaccination activities at the Wewangrewu Health Center, Wajo Regency. There, a COVID-19 vaccination activity was held for the community around Wajo Regency.
A number of parties accompanying Jokowi and Iriana are Cabinet Secretary Pramono Anung, TNI Commander Marshal Hadi Tjahjanto, National Police Chief General Pol. Listyo Sigit Prabowo, Plt. South Sulawesi Governor Andi Sudirman Sulaiman, and Wajo Regent Amran Mahmud.
