Proud, There Are Indonesians Who Joined In Making The Film Shang-Chi And The Legend Of The Ten Rings
JAKARTA- The film Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings is currently showing in theaters. This film is highly anticipated because Marvel's first hero from Asia.
Indonesia should also be proud because there is someone who participated in the production of the Shang-Chi film. Chintya Candranaya is such a proud figure.
To VOI, Chintya told the process of joining the production team. He was contacted by Andy Cheng as Shang-Chi's stunt team then he left for Sydney in January 2020 and trained for three months.
"I was contacted as a choreo team, not in the Shang-Chi (film)," said Chintya explaining her duties when contacted on Thursday, September 9.
Chintya meets various stunts from various worlds for the sake of the Shang-Chi film. As a stunt performer, Chintya performs martial arts choreography which is partly done in the film.
“I had a chance to meet Simu Liu, Meng'er Zhang, Tony Leung, Awkwafina, and others. For interaction, we had time to say hi to each other,” said Chintya by telephone today, September 9.
The martial arts aspect dominates in this film, so Chintya feels proud to be part of the production process.
"About 70 percent. Because Shang-Chi's story is that he can defend himself from a young age, right," he continued.
The video on TikTok has sparked a lot of discussion. Not a few who make fun of Chintya because her name is not on the IMDb page. Chintya didn't care about the comments and responded casually.
"Don't worry about it. Because I know there are a lot of stunts that are more professional but they don't come in and it doesn't matter. I'm the one who lives alone," replied Chintya.
Despite her participation, it turns out that Chintya has not had the chance to watch Shang-Chi and The Legend of the Ten Rings. "Later, when the cinema is open, I want to watch Shang-Chi immediately," he concluded.
