Chronology Of Problems Frustrated Sean Gelael
JAKARTA - Formula 2 racer from Indonesia, Sean Gelael, started the 2020 season full of readiness. But in two races, the DAMS racer failed to finish twice due to technical problems. Reportedly, Sean's ground jet had an engine failure.
The unfortunate fate at the Red Bull Ring Circuit, Austria, began with the last free practice session. The car has a problem that is difficult to solve. The problem continued until the qualifying session and culminated in the race where Sean was unable to finish the race.
"It's a week that makes me and the team feel frustrated. We showed good speed in the test and unfortunately we had problems at the end of free practice. I believe this car is competitive, Dan (Ticktum) showed that by winning the podium,"

The 23-year-old racer was clearly very disappointed. When Ticktum successfully contributed points to DAM, Sean was left with nothing. In fact, the team has been working to solve the existing problem.
"We've tried everything, but it looks like the problem is out of our control," said Sean.
This was emphasized by the DAMS Principal Team, Francois Sicard. He revealed that the mechanic had replaced almost all of Sean's car parts on Saturday, July 4. Even the team worked into the early hours to figure out what went wrong.
However, they did not find the problem. Sean was promising at the start of the second race which took place on Sunday 5 July. However, again the car ran into problems and had to stop before it touched the finish line.
"F2 is working with us to find a solution," he said.
Sicard then praised the former Arden and Prema racer for remaining calm and continuing to provide support to the mechanical team to solve problems with his ground jet. The boss also hopes to see the true ability of Sean soon.
DAMS and Sean certainly hope that all problems can be resolved in the next series which will be held at the same place on July 10-12. The mission is clear, get to the podium and get maximum points.
