Watching Prison Fires On YouTube, Sri Finally Comes To The Police Hospital To Make Sure Her Sister Is Safe Or Not

JAKARTA - The Ante Mortem Command Post at the Kramat Jati Police Hospital this afternoon was visited by a number of families of the victims from a total of 41 victims of correctional inmates (WBP) who died as a result of a fire at the Class I prison in Tangerang.

Until Wednesday, September 8 afternoon, residents continued to arrive with their average faces holding deep sadness. Before entering, submitting evidence to the DVI Polri team, the victim's family is required to take an antigen swab.

Sri Maryati Ulfa, one of the families seeking confirmation on her sister also came to the Ante Mortem post at the Police Hospital.

"I came here to make sure the body was true or not, because my sister was recorded there (the prison). My brother's name is Marzuki alias Kinoy. He was detained in Block C2, the Tangerang prison that was on fire," he told VOI, Wednesday, September 8.

Sri said he got information about the fire incident from the Youtube channel.

"In fact, I got info from YouTube, I haven't gotten any info from the hospital in Tangerang. I brought a photo of him and his KK here to make sure," he said.

Sri admitted that she came with Marzuki's parents, aka Kinoy. He came to make sure that one of the bodies of the deceased WBP was his biological brother or not.

"I don't know yet, I hope I don't. But I saw that the data that died was my sister. From the data, the problem was that there were names on the block. I was told to come here by the police who were there," he said.

Sri brought evidence of Marzuki's Family Card (KK) and KTP.

"Earlier it was submitted and sent to the Crisis Center email. It was a disaster, Marzuki had 1 child," he said.

The police, the DVI Polri team, also listed the contact center for DVI to email dwipolri@gmail.com. with the aim that the family of the deceased can immediately go to the Ante Mortem post at the Police Hospital.

Not much different from Sri, Febi Dwi Jayanti came from Tangerang to the Police Hospital to confirm the name of his older brother, Ferdian Perdana bin Sukriyadi, at the Police Hospital.

Febi said that Ferdian had been in Tangerang prison for 5 years.

"There is no inkling. The family is asking for accountability to the prison, asking for promises to provide compensation and assistance for the funerals of the victims," said Febi.

He said he got the news from his parents. Then the news was strengthened by information from Ferdi's friends in prison.

"So he told one of my friends, asking for help to notify Ferdi's family, if Ferdi is the victim of a prison fire, we are told to go straight to the prison, the police are waiting.
