BTPN, BNI, And BCA Agree To Build Collaboration To Secure Customer Data From Cybercrime

JAKARTA - Three financial institutions in Indonesia, namely BTPN, BNI, and BCA, have agreed to increase efforts to protect customer data and funds through layered digital technology security services. One of the important factors to achieve this is through integrated and sustainable education in order to reach a wider Indonesian society.

BTPN's Digital Banking Head, Irwan Tisnabudi, said that the goal of data security will be maximized if we work together to create a secure banking ecosystem.

"For this reason, we fully support the steps to increase public understanding about data security, especially those using digital technology," he said in a webinar held on Wednesday, September 8.

On the same occasion, BCA Senior Vice President Norisa Saifuddin said that his party always prioritizes customer data security. According to him, this is non-negotiable considering that consumer trust is a guarantee of future business development.

“Security of digital transactions is a shared responsibility between banking service providers and their users. It is hoped that this collaboration can increase the level of customer education regarding the importance of protecting personal data," he said.

Similarly, BNI's Senior Executive Vice President for Digital Business, Rian Eriana Kaslan, said that by expanding the understanding of data security, service users could be more careful against fraudulent attempts by irresponsible people.

“Collaboration like this is very important to educate customers on the importance of keeping personal data confidential. We as a bank also have a big responsibility for the security of customer confidential data, one of which is by consistently providing education to customers regarding the dangers of cybercrime," he explained.

For information, the mode of digital crime is expected to continue to grow. However, the risk of loss can be minimized by increasing security from service providers and increasing awareness of service users to continue to protect confidential and personal information.

This cross-institutional collaboration program is also symbolically marked by the use of the #DatamuRahasiamu educational campaign logo. The plan is that there will be a series of educational activities carried out by each bank and institution that joins this campaign, as well as joint activities.

"We all hope that more partners will join to deliver education so that the Indonesian people can better understand the protection of very important confidential and personal information," he concluded.
