The DKI Dishub Person Who Extorted IDR 500 Thousand Driver Wasn't Fired, This Is The Sanction

JAKARTA - Deputy Head of the DKI Transportation Agency, Chaidir, said that two officers from the Central Jakarta Transportation Sub-dept. had undergone an examination report (BAP) for the extortion case against a driver who brought a group of residents to the vaccination site.

Chaidir said, based on the results of the BAP, the two individuals with the initials SG and S were proven to have blackmailed. As a result, they are currently dismissed or off-duty.

"The person concerned is relieved of his duties which day-to-day regulates traffic on the road. They will be drawn into coaching to non-strategic tasks for 1 year," Chaidir told reporters, Wednesday, September 8.

In addition, the two Dishub officers also received a 30 percent cut in regional performance allowances for 9 months. Then, they cannot receive promotions for 1 year.

This is stated in Government Regulation Number 53 of 2010 concerning Civil Servant Discipline.

"So in conclusion, the two individuals were given moderate disciplinary sanctions, according to PP 53 of 2010," said Chaidir. Previously, it was reported that a bus containing a group of poor citizens who were going to participate in the vaccine was reportedly intercepted by Jakarta Transportation Agency officers in front of ITC Cempaka Mas, Central Jakarta. The group was about to be vaccinated at the Sheraton Media Hotel Jalan Gunung Sahari, Sawah Besar.

Chairman of the Jakarta Citizens Forum (FAKTA) Azas Tigor Nainggolan said the group was blackmailed by two Dishub officers who intercepted the group.

"The two Jakarta Transportation Agency officers named S. Gunawan and Heryanto insisted on asking for Rp. 500,000. If the driver did not give the Rp. 500,000 to the officers, the bus would be towed (towed) by the Jakarta Transportation Agency," said Tigor.

The results of BAP Dishub stated that the person who carried out the extortion was SG. Meanwhile, S was not directly involved but also received the extorted money from SG.
