Musician Anji Soon To Go To Trial
JAKARTA - The West Jakarta District Attorney stated that musician Erdian Aji Prahartanto alias Anji who is a suspect in drug abuse will soon undergo trial in court.
"We have transferred the case on behalf of Anji to the West Jakarta District Court on Tuesday, August 31, 2021," said Head of the Intelligence Section of the West Jakarta Kejari, Edwin Beslar, quoted by Antara, Tuesday, September 7.
Edwin said that the Attorney General's Office was waiting for Anji's trial date from the West Jakarta District Court.
Previously, members of the Drug Investigation Unit of the West Jakarta Metro Police arrested the "Him" singer again in one of the Cibubur housing estates, East Jakarta, Friday, June 11.
When the studio was searched, investigators found evidence in the form of marijuana tucked into the "speaker" and found other evidence in Bandung (West Java).
There was also evidence that was secured, namely ready-to-eat cannabis powder, cannabis seeds and stems as well as a book entitled "Hikayat Tree Cannabis".
For his actions, the former vocalist of the band "Drive" was charged with Article 111 subsidiary Article 127 of Law Number 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics with a minimum imprisonment of four years and a maximum of 12 years.
