Central Jakarta Sub-dept. Of Personnel Suspected Of Extorting Bus Driver Delivering Vaccine Participants, Undertake BAP

JAKARTA - Head of Operations Section (Kasie Ops) of the Central Jakarta Transportation Sub-dept. (Sudinhub), Ricky Hermawan, confirmed that two Central Jakarta Transportation Agency officers were suspected of extorting a bus driver carrying vaccination participants in Cempaka Mas, Central Jakarta. Currently, both of them are undergoing internal examination at the Central Jakarta Central Jakarta Sub-dept. of Transportation.

"Yes. The process of making the Minutes of Investigation (BAP) in question is still ongoing," he said when contacted by reporters, Tuesday, September 7, evening.

He confirmed that two officers were being investigated. The identities of the two correspond to the names circulated in the statement by the Chairman of FAKTA, Azas Tigor Nainggolan.

"What is in the BAP, what is being examined is in accordance with what was circulated earlier. Now this is being processed by the Head of Sub-dept. of TU. After the process, there will be news again," he said.

He revealed, the two field officers were still suspected. Therefore, he said, it is not possible to fully conclude the construction of the cases carried out by the two.

"Yes, it's alleged. But after the BAP process is finished, we'll tell you what the chronology is like," he said.

Previously, it was reported that a bus containing a group of poor citizens who were going to participate in the vaccine was reportedly intercepted by Jakarta Transportation Agency officers in front of ITC Cempaka Mas, Central Jakarta.
