2 Men Who Only Wear Underwear Thief Charity Box At Mosque In Solok Arrested
SOLOK - Solok Resort Police (Polres), West Sumatra arrested two perpetrators of theft of the charity box Ikhlas Ar Rahman Mosque. The two perpetrators were only wearing underwear and were caught on closed circuit television (CCTV).
The Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Solok Resort Police, Iptu Rifki Yudha Ersanda, said the two perpetrators, who were still students, had the initials RL (15) and MF (14).
"The stolen money was Rp. 400 thousand," he said, quoted by Antara, Tuesday, September 7.
This theft case was reported by the mosque who saw the charity box had disappeared.
"The charity box was found in the bathroom of the mosque in a damaged and broken condition. As a result of this incident the complainant was harmed by Rp. 400 thousand, so he reported the incident to the Solok Police," he said.
The Karawai team of the Solok Resort Police also conducted an investigation into the alleged perpetrator of the theft of the charity box of the Ikhlas Arrahman Mosque.
The Karawai team of the Solok Resort Police finally found the point of the crime scene (TKP) and sought information on the whereabouts of the perpetrators and immediately arrested the two perpetrators without a fight.
"Then at 20.00 WIB, the Karawai Team of the Solok Police arrested another person related to the theft crime," said Iptu Rifki.
After making the arrests of the two perpetrators, the Karawai Team of the Solok Police took the perpetrators along with evidence to the Solok Police for further action according to applicable law.
The evidence that was collected was in the form of Rp. 155 thousand, namely two pieces of Rp. 50,000 banknotes, Rp. 20,000 one sheet, Rp.
Previously, the two men who were involved in the theft of a charity box at the Ikhlas Ar Rahman Grand Mosque, Kayu Aro District, who only acted in underwear, had created a public scene, because CCTV footage of their actions circulated on social media.
The theft of the two men, which was recorded on CCTV, lasted about 30 seconds, took place on Sunday, September 5 at around 01.04 WIB.
The theft was clearly captured on the mosque's CCTV camera circulating on social media.
The two perpetrators crept towards the mosque's charity box using only their underwear and covering their heads with black plastic bags.
The two perpetrators then carried out the action of moving the charity box to a slightly dark corner of the mosque and away from the CCTV direction, then breaking the glass and taking the money in the charity box.
