Holywings Case Viral, Head Of Jakarta PP PP Orders Staff To Tighten Supervision In 5 Jakarta Areas
JAKARTA - After the Holywings Cafe went viral that violated the health protocols, Jakarta Head of Jakarta Satpol PP, Arifin, instructed his staff in 5 regions to be more stringent in monitoring health protocols (prokes) during the easing of PPKM Level 3 in Jakarta. This is to anticipate a repeat of the spike in COVID-19 cases.
"So all ranks of Satpol PP members at the Kelurahan, Subdistrict, City and Provincial levels still have to carry out strict supervision. PPKM has begun to be relaxed regarding restrictions but supervision must be tightened," he told VOI, Tuesday, September 7.
Arifin said that the decline in COVID-19 cases in Jakarta did not mean that people could be euphoric by ignoring health protocols, because this was not allowed. Euphoria is okay but must continue to progress by applying 5M. Because there is a lot of euphoria, there is a very high potential for the spread of COVID-19.
"The decline in COVID-19 cases in Jakarta must be accompanied by increasing discipline and awareness. Don't be complacent, don't be careless, don't make the process easy. Because this involves the safety of everyone's life," he said.
Arifin ensured that the decline in PPKM from Level 4 to Level 3 did not mean that the supervision of officers was slack, and vice versa. With the decline in PPKM Level 3, he continued, community activities have been relaxed.
"When it starts to loosen up, there is a potential for greater COVID-19 violations. There is potential when people are less aware. The supervision must continue to be strengthened, it should not be slack. Because one person violating the (prokes) can have an impact on everyone," said Arifin.
