Coordinating Ministry For Maritime Affairs And Fisheries Supports The Acceleration Of Cisumdawu Toll Road Development, Luhut's Men: Land Acquisition Issues Etc. Must Be Completed Immediately

JAKARTA - The Coordinating Ministry for Maritime Affairs and Investment (Kemenko Marves) said extra efforts were needed to be able to accelerate the construction of the Cileunyi - Sumedang - Dawuan (Cisumdawu) National Strategic Project (PSN) Toll Road which is targeted to be completed and operational by the end of 2021.

Apart from accelerating development, land acquisition is also still a problem on the toll road.

Assistant Deputy for Basic Infrastructure, Urban and Water Resources of the Coordinating Ministry Marves Rahman Hidayat said based on the results of the field visit, of the existing 6 sections, 4 sections of the Cisumdawu Toll Road are optimistic that they will be completed and functional by the end of 2021.

"This must be completed immediately. All sections must be accelerated, although it was explained earlier that out of 6 sections, 4 of them namely sections 1, 2, 3, and 6 will be completed by the end of this year, but there are still sections 4 and 5 that need to be completed. The work is speeding up and this must be completed immediately according to the President's direction," he said, quoted from Antara, Tuesday, September 7.

Rahman also explained the problem of land funding, both through the payment of the Land Bailout Fund (DTT) and direct payments.

"To achieve the success of accelerating land funding for the Cisumdawu Toll Road, LMAN must have more synergy with related parties, and it is very necessary to go to the location in accelerating the administrative cycle," he explained.

Cisamdawu Toll Road which has a length of 62.01 km is the key to facilitate access from Bandung to West Java International Airport (BIJB) Kertajati.

With the operation of all sections of the Cisumdawu Toll Road, the trip from Bandung to BIJB will take 60 minutes and will revive the local community's economy through smooth land and air transportation in the eastern part of West Java.

"So this toll road is indeed the key, whatever happens, we must resolve it. Because this concerns Kertajati Airport and also the source of West Java's economic progress," Rahman said.

Meanwhile, the Technical Director of PT Citra Karya Jabar Tol (CKJT) Bagus Medi Suarso said land acquisition was an obstacle in the construction of the toll road. Of the existing 6 sections, sections 4 and 5 have not been fully constructed.

This is because the location of free land is still in spots. Bagus also said that currently the land acquisition for section 4 is only 67.27 percent, section 5A is 79 percent, and 5B is 68 percent.
