Valuation Drops To IDR 1.57 Trillion, Declan Rice Is Man United's Main Target In The Next 12 Months
JAKARTA - Manchester United are still keen to buy West Ham United midfielder Declan Rice despite not wanting to invest in his midfield this season, sources have told ESPN.
Manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and deputy chief executive Ed Woodward have realized they need a midfielder, but the Premier League club are eyeing a winger and centre-back.
To that end they bought winger Jadon Sancho and centre-back Raphael Varane, while Cristiano Ronaldo was bought using out-of-pocket funds this summer.

According to Antara, sources have told ESPN that next season United will buy a striker and a midfielder, and Declan Rice will be the main target in the next 12 months.
This season it is estimated that Rice's valuation has dropped, whose contract until 2024 makes him valued at 80 million pounds (Rp 1.57 trillion).
Rice played a central role for West Ham last season as David Moyes' side finished sixth in the Premier League to qualify for the Europa League.
Chelsea are also said to be interested in the West Ham midfielder.
Meanwhile, Manchester United confirmed that Ronaldo will make his second debut with the Red Devils against Newcastle United at Old Trafford, Saturday this week.
After being challenged by Newcastle, United will travel to Young Boys, next Tuesday, in a Champions League match.
