Bromo Tour Opens Gradually, Check Out The Conditions

EAST JAVA - The Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park Center (BB-TNBTS) is gradually opening the Bromo area to tourists, by implementing a number of restrictions and strict health protocols for handling COVID-19.

Acting Head of TNBTS Center Novita Kusuma Wardani, said the opening of the Bromo tourist area was only carried out at the entrance to Pasuruan Regency, East Java.

"The Bromo tourist attraction is opened at the entrance to Pasuruan Regency," said Novita in Malang City, East Java, as reported by Antara, Monday, September 6.

The gradual opening of the Bromo tourist area, effective September 6, 2021. The announcement was issued under the number PG.25/T.8?BIDTEK.1/KSA/9/2021 regarding the Opening of Tourism Objects and Natural Attractions in the TNBTS Area, Pasuruan Regency .

The Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park area has four entrances, namely in the Probolinggo Regency, Malang Regency, Lumajang Regency, and Pasuruan Regency. Currently, only one entrance is opened by the TNBTS Center.

Novita explained that tourists are only allowed to enter the Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park area for three points, namely View Point Penanjakan, Bukit Kedaluh, and Bukit Cinta.

According to him, in addition to limiting the points that can be visited by tourists, the number of tourists allowed to enter the Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park area is also limited to 25 percent of the capacity of each point.

In detail, at the Penanjakan View Point, a total of 222 tourists are allowed to enter, 107 people are Kedaluh Hill, and 31 people are Love Hill. Overall, only 360 tourists are allowed to enter the area.

"The maximum capacity for now is only 25 percent," said Novita. In addition, he continued, tourists who visit are required to use the PeduliLindung application, as is applied in shopping centers that are currently allowed to operate.

The Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park area has been closed since July 3, 2021, when the government established the Implementation of Community Activity Restrictions (PPKM), in an effort to suppress the spread of the Corona virus.
