11 Prospective Belitung Airport Passengers Arrested For Using Fake PCR Letters
BELITUNG - As many as 11 prospective passengers at H.AS Hanandjoeddin International Airport, Belitung Regency, Bangka Belitung Islands Province, were caught using fake PCR certificates.
The Executive General Manager (EGM) of PT Angkasa Pura II H.AS Hanandjoeddin Airport Belitung Branch, Untung Basuki said the 11 prospective passengers were planning to depart for Jakarta using Citilink airline.
"When the officers checked through the PeduliLindung application, their data was not listed, causing suspicion and manual inspection was carried out", he said in Tanjung Pandan, as reported by Antara, Monday, September 6.
According to him, when the manual inspection was carried out, the officers found anomalies in the "hard copy" of the certificate shown.
The certificate of PCR examination results includes the name of one of the private hospitals in the area that has PCR examination services.
"The officers immediately confirmed with the hospital concerned and the hospital stated that they had never issued a PCR test result letter like that", he said.

He added that the 11 prospective passengers were then asked for more in-depth information by officers from the Class III Pangkal Pinang Port Health Office (KKP) in the Tanjung Pandan working area.
"That's why the authority of the KKP has coordinated with the Belitung Police to find out where the PCR letter was made or obtained", he said.
