JAKARTA - The Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) continues to encourage micro, small and medium enterprises to upgrade and increase production capacity and quality. One way is through collaboration between state companies and people's businesses through the digital market (PaDi).

SOE Minister Erick Thohir said that MSME players who joined PaDi would get various benefits. One of them is market access. He said, currently there are at least 10,100 businesses that have registered their names on the service.

"We will continue to try to provide the best for MSMEs to get ease of payment, payment certainty, market access and sustainable development. Moreover, today, PaDi will also launch new services as an increase in SOE services to MSMEs," he said at a press conference on Monday. virtual, Monday, September 6th.

Erick said that one form of activity from the PaDi service provided was an exhibition which was held virtually during the COVID-19 pandemic. The goal is to increase transactions so that MSME actors can advance to class.

According to Erick, the exhibition is a door for SOEs to get to know a variety of products and partners. At the same time it opens the opportunity to get a good price choice with competitive product quality.

"This is very important because SOEs play a role in building economic balance and equity. Ensuring that the lower class of the economy is promoted so that the poor do not get poorer while the rich get richer," he explained.

The transaction value of state companies to MSMEs reached Rp. 10.9 trillion as of August 31, 2021. The number is expected to continue to increase by the end of the year.

"The value of SOE transactions with MSMEs is Rp. 10.9 trillion consisting of 142 thousand transactions and involving 10.100 MSMEs. This shows how strong the collaboration that has been built is," he said.
