Komnas HAM Opens Virtual Communication With Victims Of Sexual Harassment Of KPI Office Employees
JAKARTA - Victims of sexual harassment and bullying at the Indonesian Broadcasting Commission (KPI), the Supreme Court have not attended the invitation of the National Human Rights Commission (Komnas HAM) for certain reasons.
Komnas HAM has started to open the option of communicating virtually with MSA. This option is possible if the alleged victim of sexual violence and bullying cannot comply with the direct invitation from Komnas HAM.
"There is no (evidence). So for tomorrow if MS wants to go to Komnas HAM I will wait, but if the person concerned and his legal advisor want to provide information via zoom, there is no problem," he said when confirmed by reporters, Sunday, August 5.
He added that Komnas HAM was waiting for the victim's readiness to give an explanation to the commissioner. His party is still waiting for MSA's readiness to give an explanation to Komnas HAM.
"When the victim feels comfortable and strong, of course we will allocate time," he said.
As is known, MSA failed to attend Komnas HAM during the examination agenda on Friday, September 3. MS admitted that he was tired after undergoing a marathon examination.
"Until now, we are still communicating with MSA's legal assistant," he said. (Rizky Sulistio)
