Rarely Appearing In Matches, Eden Hazard Admits He Still Loves Real Madrid

JAKARTA – Eden Hazard has denied that he is not happy playing for Real Madrid. The Belgian midfielder only regretted that he did not have many opportunities to play.

Although he didn't play much, the Los Blancos midfielder said he still loves Real Madrid.

"It's not true I'm not happy at Real Madrid. I'm very happy to be at the club but we know that players are happy when he plays and scores goals. I didn't play a lot or score goals, but that doesn't affect my affection for the club." Hazard said quoting Antara, Saturday, September 4.

The 30-year-old continued to insist that he is happy in Madrid and happy with the life he is living in the Spanish capital.

Hazard said at the moment the situation was complicated by COVID-19 and injuries, but the footballer would be happy if he played especially when he scored.

"I'm happy in Madrid, I like living there. The situation is complicated by COVID-19, with injuries, but footballers are happy when he plays. It's easy to be happy when you score goals," Hazard explained.

Eden Hazard was recorded to join Real Madrid from Chelsea in July 2019 for a transfer fee of 100 million euros or around Rp. 1.6 trillion.

Even so, Hazard couldn't show his best performance at Real Madrid because he was often injured. During his time at Madrid, Hazard played 46 games and scored 5 goals and 9 assists.
