COVID-19 Update 4 September: Positive Increases By 6,727, Down By 1,000 Cases Compared To Yesterday

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) released the latest additional positive COVID-19 cases for today, Saturday, September 4 at 12.00 WIB with a record addition of 6,727 cases. This figure is down by around 1,000 cases compared to yesterday, Friday, September 3 with 7,797 cases.

The report also revealed that the daily cure rate increased by 13,806 people with a mortality rate of 539 cases.

In detail, the highest increase in positive cases occurred in East Java with a record 614 cases. This figure reflects that the area in the eastern part of Java Island accounts for almost 10 percent of all confirmed cases today nationally.

Followed by West Java with 545 cases, North Sumatra with 520 cases, Central Java with 512 cases, and DKI Jakarta with 360 cases.

Meanwhile, for the areas with the most healing, West Java with 2,486 people, East Java with 1,201 people, Yogyakarta with 1,194 people, and Bali with 801 people.

Then, the highest death rate was in West Java with 125 cases, East Java with 92 cases, Central Java with 73 cases, and Riau with 30 cases.

In terms of vaccination, it was recorded that 66,353,669 people received phase I vaccine with a special addition today as many as 458,996 people.

Then, for the second phase of the vaccine, it is known that it has been distributed to 38,030,652 people with the addition of 382,619 people. Meanwhile, the vaccination target targeted by the government for the current period is 208,265,720 doses.

Recently, Indonesia received another 207,000 doses of AstraZeneca vaccine from the Netherlands which was obtained through a bilateral cooperation scheme. Through the arrival of the vaccine, Indonesia has recorded a total of 220.4 million doses of COVID-19 vaccine.
