Proud, Leani/Khalimatus To The Tokyo Paralympics SL3-SU5 Women's Doubles Final

JAKARTA - Indonesia secured a ticket in the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Para-Badminton final through Leani Ratri Oktila/Khalimatus Sadiyah after in the semi-finals of the SL3-SU5 women's doubles defeating the French pair, Lenaig Morin/Faustine Noel.

The world number one women's doubles lead 21-9, 21-15 in a 24-minute match at Yoyogi National Stadium, Tokyo, Saturday, according to the official Tokyo Paralympics website reported by Antara.

Leani/Ratri are in full control of Morin/Noel in the first game. Leani who played in the front zone, and Khalimatus in the back zone, formed a combination of attack and defense that was difficult for his opponent to avoid.

The second game, the fifth ranked women's doubles tried to raise the level of the game. Chasing points ensued to create a thin score difference between the two pairs.

After the second interval of the second game, Leani/Khalimatus were able to regain their lead and ensure their move to the highest podium in the Tokyo Paralympics debut.

In the final round, Leani/Khalimatus were already waiting for the second-ranked pair from China, Cheng He Fang/Ma Hui Hui, who defeated the vice hosts Noriko Ito/Ayako Suzuki in two straight games.

The SL3-SU5 women's double final match between Leani/Khalimatus vs Cheng/Ma will take place at 17.15 WIB.
