Bogor Regent Confesses Peak Area Arrangement, Fadli Zon Asks Jokowi To Intervene
BOGOR - Bogor Regent Ade Yasin "confessed" to DPR member Fadli Zon about the lack of attention from the central government regarding the arrangement of the Puncak Area, Bogor Regency, West Java.
"The peak, if branded properly, it can become a world tour. It can even be compared to Genting Island in Malaysia," said Ade Yasin in a meeting with the Parliamentary Cooperation Agency (BKSAP) in the Multipurpose Room I of the Regional Secretariat (Setda) of Bogor Regency. Between, Friday, September 3rd.
Ade Yasin complained about the frequent traffic jams on the Puncak route, thus revoking the status of the area in the south of Bogor Regency as a national tourist destination.
"We hope that our friends in the DPR RI can voice their voice so that Puncak can be used as a national branding so that it can be worldwide in the future," explained the PPP politician.
Ade Yasin said that the improvements that had been made by the Bogor Regency Government and the central government some time ago had not been able to alleviate the traffic jam problem in Puncak.
So, now the Bogor Regency Government and the Bogor Police have imposed odd-even on Jalan Raya Puncak, to reduce congestion in the area, although it raises pros and cons.
"I think a special policy is needed. So on the one hand the conservation function can work because we have upstream and tourism can also run well," said Ade Yasin.
Meanwhile, Chairman of the House of Representatives Inter-Parliamentary Cooperation Agency (BKSAP), Fadli Zon, said that the Puncak area has high economic potential because it is a tourist spot known to the international community, especially Middle Eastern countries.
"Not only from the general public in the Middle East, but also from the elite. I have seen that Puncak is more famous than Bali," said Fadli Zon.
So, the legislator from Bogor Regency agreed that the arrangement of the Puncak Area needed a helping hand from the central government.
"Perhaps there needs to be attention from the central government, appropriate policy interventions for Puncak, because this has enormous potential," he said.
