3 Days Out Of Work, Private School Teacher In Medan Found Dead In Boarding Room

MEDAN - Residents of Neighborhood III Johor Building, Jalan Eka Warni, Medan Johor District were surprised by the discovery of a man's body in a boarding house.

The body of the man, Muhammad Ilyas, 34, who works as a teacher, was first discovered when his colleague came to check on the victim's condition. Information in the field, the man's corpse had swelled with a pungent stench.

Around the victim's bed, there were bloodstains on the left wall near the victim's head.

A witness who is also a colleague of the victim, Muhammad Ilyasah (24), said they were curious because the victim did not attend school. According to the witness, this colleague lived alone in the boarding room and was known to have no history of illness.

"He hasn't come to work for three days without notice. Then we looked for him, and we found his boarding house here. Then we asked the owner of the boarding house, the owner of the boarding house said it was not visible. Then, together with the owner of the boarding house, we wanted to go there," said Ilyasa.

Based on the witness's vision, some of the victim's items that were usually used were not visible in the victim's room.

"The motorcycle is not visible," he explained.

Ilyasa said they arrived at the location after Friday prayers and smelled the smell of dead bodies. Suspicious, Ilyasa contacted the head of the neighborhood and the police.

Delitua Police Chief, AKP Zulkifli Harahap, said the police were still investigating the victim's death. Police also conducted an autopsy on the victim to determine the cause of death.

"We are still waiting for the autopsy results," he said.
