US Soldiers Give Gifts To Builders At Army Headquarters
JAKARTA - US Army Opposing Force Captain J. Larimer, a US Army soldier, gave a gift in the form of a US Army logo and symbol to Sandi Rihata, a builder who works at the Indonesian Army Headquarters.
"Can you give this to Sandi? This is a logo and a point for our troops," he told Prada Haidir Anam, quoted by Antara, Friday, September 3.
The US Army logo was given by Captain J. Larimer as a form of friendship through Prada Haidir Anam who is a friend of Sandi Rihata.
"If you could give this to him it would be really cool," he said.
The respect shown by the United States soldier began with Prada Haidir Anam making a video call with Sandi on the sidelines of joint training with the Indonesian Army with the US Army.
At that time, Prada Anam told Sandi that he was participating in joint training with the United States army.
Sandi, who has a history of illness and cannot speak like other normal people, looks enthusiastic and proud when he sees his comrade in arms has succeeded in becoming a TNI soldier.
In that moment, Captain J. Larimer joined in the direct conversation and greeted Sandi through a video call connection.
Meanwhile, the Garuda Shield 2021 Bulsi Team Train, Major Inf. Roby, said that during the joint training some TNI soldiers were still stuttering when communicating with US Army personnel.
"Sometimes they use body language which is important they understand," he said.
For information, the friendship between Prada Haidir Anam and Sandi has been established for a long time, even before his status as a member of the TNI.
Before becoming a TNI soldier, Prada Haidir Anam worked as a builder at the Army Headquarters with Sandi. Their friendship grew stronger when Prada Haidir Anam was accepted as a member of the Indonesian Army.
