Anies Admits There Are Still 2.7 Million Residents Of Jakarta Who Have Not Been Vaccinated
JAKARTA - DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan said the vaccination program must continue to be promoted. Because, according to him, there are still 2.7 million DKI Jakarta residents who have not been vaccinated against COVID-19.
This was conveyed by Anies in his remarks at the second dose of vaccination for Fishermen's Villages and coastal residents at the Modern Fish Market, Muara Baru, North Jakarta.
"This vaccination does need an extra campaign because now in Jakarta, 2.7 million people have to be vaccinated," said Anies, Friday, September 3.
According to Anies, there are a number of reasons why residents have not been vaccinated. First, there are residents who are not sure that the COVID-19 vaccine is safe for the body. The second reason, there are also residents who are too busy so they have not had time to come to the vaccination site.
"Some are due to preference factors because I'm not sure, I don't feel safe yet. Some are because of their daily activities that make it impossible for them to leave their daily activities," said Anies.
Therefore, Anies asked parties who opened vaccination services to give a message that vaccination is safe.
It is known, currently vaccination in Jakarta at the first dose has reached 9,773,386 people and the second dose has now reached 5,894,734 people. The achievement of the 1st dose of vaccination has reached 116 percent and the second dose of 65.6 percent. However, some of the Jakarta vaccine recipients are not residents of Jakarta.
Meanwhile, vaccination for children aged 12-17 years, for dose 1 has been carried out as much as 82.1 percent and for dose 2 as much as 59.7 percent.
Meanwhile, in the elderly group, 87.2 percent of dose 1 vaccination had been administered and 75.2 percent of dose 2 had been vaccinated. In the Gotong Royong vaccination, dose 1 has been given to 199,920 people and dose 2 to 159,480 people.
