Collaborated With Rossa, Gaza Ali Releases Song More Than Love

JAKARTA - Remember Gaza Ali? The audition participant who was in the Indonesian Idol Special Season in 2020 received a golden ticket from Rossa as the jury. Even though it didn't make it to the final, Gaza got the opportunity to join Rossa's label company, Inspire Music.

Friday, September 3, Gaza and Inspire Music finally chose the first single entitled More Than Love by Pika Iskandar. "I've always wanted to be a singer, but it was only a dream. I started actively practicing vocals about 2 months before I auditioned for Indonesian Idol." Gaza said during a virtual conference to the media crew.

"After Indonesian Idol, I want to have a work. I like the songs created by kak Pika, after a long chat with kak Pika, finally the song More Than Love was released, which has the same meaning as the lyrics, I really feel it in my heart," said Gaza.

Rossa's support makes Gaza more confident. "Teteh Oca helped me choose a song for my debut. During the mastering process, Teteh also gave an opinion.

According to Pika Iskandar, the creation of the song More Than Love was inspired by a Korean drama film that he had watched, which tells about a man who really loves a woman, but the man's love is always ignored. "The message behind the story in the song More Than Love is that the struggle in love must be fought for," said Pika.

Besides music, Gaza also has another hobby that she has been pursuing since she was 13 years old, namely cooking (Chef). The menu that he is most skilled at is Minang cuisine, descended from Gaza's parents who have a Minang cuisine culinary business.

"My hobby is cooking because I have loved watching Japanese anime since I was little, it has motivated me to explore the world of food, and now it is a hobby that I really love," Gaza said.

One recipe that is mastered by Gaza is Beef Wellington. Gaza explained "Beef Wellington is my favorite menu, which at first I was attracted because it looked difficult, but after about 20-30 times I experimented, finally it was successful and became a mainstay menu. But there are also other foods such as scrambled eggs, pasta, steak, salads that are served a day. -days I often make".

Answering the question whether Gaza will focus more on the world of cooking or music, this is what Gaza said; "I cook just as a hobby that I do when I'm alone. Cooking fills my spare time. But since I was little I dreamed of becoming a singer, I will keep singing, because singing can vent my pent-up emotions, I will not miss this golden opportunity to into the world of music," he added.
