Ramos Brings Madrid 4 Points Ahead Of Barca
JAKARTA - Sergio Ramos scored Real Madrid's only goal in the win over Getafe, Thursday, July 2 evening. Through a penalty kick, the captain gave Los Blancos a four-point lead over Barcelona at the top of La Liga.
Real Madrid's performance was far from convincing in the derby which took place at the Alfredo di Stefano Stadium. They look panicked and often misfeed.
However, Ramos secured a valuable win 11 minutes from the end of the match. The referee awarded a penalty after Mathias Olivera tackled Dani Carvajal in the forbidden box.
For Los Blancos, who rested Eden Hazard, this is their sixth straight win since the restart. Ramos et al are even increasingly favored to overthrow Barcelona with five matches remaining.

The candidate for next season's Champions League ticket winner, Getafe, started the match with confidence. But Thibaut Courtois made a nimble save to keep out Nemanja Maksimovic's effort in the next minute.
On the other hand, David Soria brilliantly thwarted Vinicius Junior's close range effort. In addition, the buying and selling of bait from Ferland Mendy and Luka Modric, which was ended by Isco's volley, was also thwarted by the Getafe goalkeeper.
Madrid seemed inevitable from failure to earn maximum points. But Olivera's mistake to drop Carvajal in the penalty box ended in disaster. Ramos coldly slipped his shot towards Soria's left.

"It is clear that with four points (advantage) we depend on ourselves to win this league. We are on the right track," Carvajal said after the match.
"Getafe played a very good game. We have to take advantage of Barcelona's delay a few days ago, today is the final."
Real Madrid will face tough opponents in the next match. Zinedine Zidane's men will travel to San Mames home to Athletic Bilbao. While Barcelona will visit Villareal.
