PT Pupuk Sriwidjaja (Pusri) Palembang, a subsidiary of PT Pupuk Indonesia (Persero) has launched the Sistro application (online truck scheduling system) or an online scheduled fertilizer loading system, Thursday, September 2.
The launch of the Sistro application was held in an open space at the Grand Harvest Hotel, Licin District, Banyuwangi.
Present at the event were President Director of PT Pupuk Sriwidjaja (Pusri) Palembang Tri Wahyudi Saleh, Commissioner of PT Pusri Bambang Supriyambodo, SEVP Marketing Operation of PT Pupuk Indonesia (Persero) Gatoet Gembiro N, SVP East Region of PI Muhammad Yusri, Pusri Management and PI Distributor for East Java 2.
"This Sistro is an online truck scheduling system for fertilizer distribution, including synchronization of truck arrivals, so there are no queues," said PT Pupuk Sriwidjaja (Pusri) Palembang president director Tri Wahyudi Saleh to reporters in Banyuwangi.
According to him, so far the fertilizer loading schedule has not been properly scheduled, resulting in long queues and causing problems in the distribution of fertilizer to farmers. Now PT Pusri has launched the Sistro application to overcome the potential problem of delays in fertilizer distribution.
"So, this online scheduled fertilizer loading system is an improvement for PT Pupuk Indonesia (Persero) to monitor fertilizer distribution. Meanwhile, trucks or fleets that come do not have to queue because they can monitor it via their cellphones," said Tri Wahyudi as quoted by Antara.
On that occasion, the President Director of PT Pusri Palembang also socialized the Makmur program, which is an intensive assistance program for farmers and sustainable agricultural cultivation that involves supply chains and is supported by technology based on the triple bottom line 3P (people, planet, profit) concept to prosper Indonesian farmers.
"This program aims, among other things, to increase agricultural productivity and adoption of superior agriculture. We also hope that Pusri and PI can continue to support the government in the national food security program,".
