Anies Again Gives Scholarships To Children Of Health Workers Who Died Handling COVID-19
JAKARTA - DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan has again distributed educational scholarships for children from health workers who died while working to deal with COVID-19.
Last year, Anies gave scholarships to 12 children. This year, 28 children were awarded scholarships. This is stated in the Decree of the Governor of DKI Number 1057 of 2021 concerning Scholarships for the Education of Children of Health Workers who Died in Handling COVID-19 for the 2021 Fiscal Year.
"Determining educational scholarships for children of health workers who died in the handling of COVID-19 for the 2021 fiscal year," Anies said as quoted from the Governor's Decree on Friday, September 3.
Scholarships given to children of health workers who die are adjusted to their education level. For children who are at the Early Childhood Education (PAUD) level, Anies provides a scholarship of Rp. 6 million per year.
Then, children who are in elementary school are given a scholarship of Rp. 9 million per year. Furthermore, children at the level of SMP/madrasah tsanawiyah/SMPLB/package B equivalence receive Rp. 12 million per year.
Then, high school/madrasah aliyah/SMALB/equivalent package C students get Rp15 million per year. Vocational school students receive a scholarship of Rp. 17 million per year. Finally, undergraduate students get Rp. 20 million per year.
In total, there are 28 children receiving educational scholarships. There are 10 students with student status, 6 people in high school, 4 in junior high school, 3 in elementary school, and 5 in Kindergarten.
"The costs needed to provide children's education scholarships will be charged to the 2021 Fiscal Year APBD," he concluded.
