Bobby Nasution's Action, Jokowi's Son-in-Law, Checks Medan Selayang Road Repair, This Is His Order To The Public Works Service
MEDAN - Medan Mayor Bobby Nasution returned to check the field regarding infrastructure programs. Bobby, the son-in-law of President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) directly inspected the repair and paving of roads in Medan Selayang.
"Infrastructure improvement is one of the 5 priority programs of the Medan City Government, which of course in the execution process must use sturdy materials so that infrastructure in the city of Medan can later be used in the long term," said Medan Mayor Bobby Nasution, Thursday, September 2.
"To ensure the construction of existing roads on Jl. Asoka, Medan Selayang Subdistrict, this afternoon I immediately visited the location and it turned out that the work was still half way,” said Bobby Nasution.
The Mayor of Medan emphasized that the Medan City Public Works Department should complete the Medan infrastructure improvement program.
"I emphasize to the Medan City Public Works Agency to immediately continue the construction process which is still stalled by using good quality materials," he said.
Bobby Nasution's breakthrough to improve MedanMayor of Medan, Bobby Nasution, revealed that the remaining excess funds from last year's budget (Silpa) budget of Rp622 billion will be used to repair five percent of damaged roads in Medan City.
"We will continue to pursue this. We and the Medan City DPRD will continue to coordinate. If possible, yesterday's Silpa, we will allocate to the Public Works Agency (Public Works) for road infrastructure," Bobby said in Medan, Sunday, July 18.
This is because, continued Bobby Nasution, of the total length of roads in Medan City about 3,279 kilometers, of which about five percent are in a damaged condition and need repairs every year.
The Mayor of Medan gave an example, such as access roads in Lau Cih Main Market, Simpang Selayang Village, Medan Tuntungan, and Bunga Asoka Street, Asam Kumbang Village, Medan Selayang.
"Improving road infrastructure is my priority program, and it is targeted to be completed within two years. Because good infrastructure encourages economic growth," explained President Joko Widodo's son-in-law.
"I have instructed the Medan City Public Works Agency to immediately repair all damaged roads, including roads in the sub-district and other small roads," explained the mayor.
A lecturer at the Faculty of Economics and Business at the University of North Sumatra, Yasmin said, urban problems are very complex, so regional heads must choose which ones to prioritize first.
"I see that the Mayor is very good. He is able to see urgent problems, and must be resolved first. In my opinion, he is more focused on five priority programs and one of them is improving road infrastructure," Yasmin said.
