Police Arrest 2 Indonesian Citizens From Iraq In Karawaci Luxury Housing Converted To A Shabu Factory

JAKARTA - Disclosure of the crystal meth factory in the elite residential area of Karawaci, Tangerang, is a syndicate of narcotics networks from the Middle East. This was conveyed by the West Jakarta Metro Police Chief Kombes Pol Ady Wibowo.

"The two arrested perpetrators are Iranian citizens. They are Middle Eastern networks," he said when confirmed by VOI, Thursday, August 2.

The two perpetrators were arrested by the West Jakarta Metro Police Narcotics Unit on Wednesday, August 1, evening.

Kombes Ady explained that currently his party is still carrying out further investigation efforts related to the disclosure of the drug factory

"The identification and collection of evidence is still being carried out at the location," he said.

Ady Wibowo also said that the disclosure began with the first arrest of one suspect. The case was developed until it succeeded in uncovering a methamphetamine manufacturing factory.

Meanwhile, West Jakarta Metro Police Narcotics Head Kompol Danang Setiyo explained that currently the team is still investigating the results of the disclosure.

"We ask the media crew to be patient waiting for the results of further investigations. The point is to keep it in the status quo, because it is still under investigation," he said.
