The Manager Of Juanda Airport, Surabaya And Ngurah Rai Bali, Etc., Has A Cash Flow Deficit Of IDR 8.7 Trillion, What Causes It?

JAKARTA - Director of the Project Management Office (PMO) of Holding for Tourism and Supporting BUMN, Edwin Hidayat said the accumulated cash flow deficit or operational cash flow of PT Angkasa Pura I (Persero) or AP I was estimated to reach Rp. 8.7 trillion. The main cause is a decrease in passenger traffic by 60 percent.

Furthermore, Edwin said the decrease in passengers caused significant losses and liquidity pressure for Angkasa Pura I.

"Angkasa Pura I has a cash flow deficit which is estimated to reach Rp 8.7 trillion," he said during a hearing with Commission VI of the DPR, Thursday, September 2.

Meanwhile, said Edwin, the company must complete a number of airport projects that are included in the list of National Strategy Projects (PSN). For example, the development of airports in Semarang, Kulon Progo, Banjarmasin, Lombok, Solo, to Bali.

However, Edwin said that along the way, AP I actually experienced financial difficulties with a total interest-bearing debt reaching Rp24.16 trillion. According to Edwin, the debt swelling was due to an increase in debt to fund PSN by Rp16.04 trillion.

The PSN funded include Yogyakarta International Airport of Rp. 11.7 trillion, Ahmad Yani International's Semarang of Rp. 2.14 trillion, Syamsuddin International Airport of Banjarmasin of Rp. 2.2 trillion, Ngurah Rai International Bali of Rp. 2.35 trillion, and other financing. In addition, the company also financed branch operational investment of IDR 5.7 trillion.

"While AP I is in the process of completing the ASN project for airport development in the midst of a pandemic. Funding capacity is limited," he said.
