Two Majene Fishermen Reported Missing 5 Days While Searching For Squid Found Survived
MAMUJU - Two fishermen looking for squid in Majene Regency, West Sulawesi, who were reported missing for five days, were found safe.
Head of the Mamuju SAR Office Saidar Rahmanjaya said the two fishermen looking for squid, namely Mahzar Dhat Has (47) and Usman (35) who were reported missing for five days, were found by a fisherman in Pamboang waters, Majene Regency, on Wednesday, September 1.
"The victim was found by fishermen who were out at sea yesterday (Wednesday, September 1). However, due to the evacuation process and network constraints, it was too late to receive information on the victim's discovery to the family, so we only received the information today," said Saidar Rahmanjaya, quoted by Antara, Thursday. , September 2nd.
With the discovery of the two fishermen looking for the squid, the search operation, which had been carried out for five days, was stopped.
"Our search has stopped today, because both of them have been found. Our search process was carried out for five days with a joint SAR team," said Saidar Rahmanjaya.
The two fishermen looking for squid were reported missing while going to sea on Friday, August 27 at around 18.30 WITA. However, until the next day they had not returned so the family reported it to the Mamuju SAR Office.
"After receiving reports of the disappearance of the two fishermen, we together with a joint SAR team from the Mamuju SAR Office Rescue Team, Majene Police, BPBD, PMI Majene, Posmat TNI AL Polman, SAR Unhas, SAR UNM, SAR Malaqbi, Mapala Unsulbar and the local community immediately search," he said.
After five days of searching, both were found safe and so the automatic search process was stopped.
